About

I’ve been building things with code since before I left school — typing games from Sinclair Programs on a ZX Spectrum and seeing my own demos published in early disk magazines for the Sam Coupe. From that moment, I was hooked on making things people could use and enjoy.
My career has since taken me across almost every corner of tech — from R&D Developer and QA Tester to Team Leader, Analyst Programmer, and Scrum Facilitator. What’s stayed constant is my love of problem-solving, design, and helping people grow. I thrive on bringing clarity and momentum to complex challenges.

For a few years, I traded code for campfires — training as a Mountain Leader and teaching teamwork, trust, and resilience as a Tribe Leader and Educational Manager. Guiding young people with additional needs taught me more about empathy and leadership than any management course ever could.

Writing has always been another thread. I earned an MA in Creative Writing, published award-winning short stories, and ran Arts Council–funded projects blending storytelling with interactive design.

Creativity and technology have always felt like two sides of the same coin.
Eventually, I returned to engineering — leading agile teams, mentoring developers, designing architecture, and weaving creativity into code. I introduced Show & Tell Fridays, ran retrospectives, and focused on building teams that collaborate, experiment, and learn. Along the way, I became a Certified Scrum Master, AWS Practitioner, and Mental Health First Aider, combining technical leadership with genuine care for people and wellbeing.

Today, as an AI Specialist and Transformation Lead, I bring those threads together — creativity, engineering, mentoring, and exploration — to help organisations and teams understand, adopt, and thrive with what’s next.
